Commitment to achieving Net Zero
Aire Logic Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2030.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.
Baseline Year: 2020
Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations.
Aire Logic started measuring and reporting carbon emission figures in 2020. The data for the analysis has been extrapolated from internal figures. Our target is to get to net zero status by 2030. As the company is expanding rapidly and hopes to increase headcount by 60% in the next 2 years, we anticipate carbon emission reductions to be minimal for 2022 and 2023. However, as our carbon reduction programme picks up pace, we will be seeking to reduce carbon emissions by 15% year on year.

Emissions Reduction Targets
In order to achieve Net Zero status, we have put in place the following carbon reduction targets.
We project that our carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years by 50%. This will be an average reduction of 10% per year.
Progress against these targets can be seen in the graph below:
Carbon Reduction Projects
The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2020 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to 15.12 tCO₂e, a 52% reduction against the 2020 baseline and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract:
We’ve put in place a majority-remote working policy. While this was precipitated by the arrival of the pandemic, the success of the scheme means that we will continue to encourage staff to work remotely given its many benefits to the organisation (besides reducing the corporate carbon footprint).
We also offer the Cycle to Work scheme for employees who commute into work in line with the Government's Green Transport Plan.
In a bid to minimise company travel, we have also moved to virtual meetings, both internally and externally, where possible.
Aire Logic is also a paperless company, wherever possible, and encourages staff to keep documents in their Cloud storage space rather than print off paper copies for office use.
In the future, we are planning to put in place the following measures:
Conserving energy in the office
Using energy efficient LED bulbs
Putting the thermostat on a timer
Turning off lighting in unused areas and investing in motion sensor lighting.
Turning off and unplug all electronic and computer devices when not in use
Ensuring the ventilation system is cleaned regularly
Switching to a green energy provider, i.e. one that uses 100% renewable energy
Switching to a smart meter
Recycling more of our waste
Switching to greener suppliers where possible who also have net zero carbon commitments.
Switching to greener cloud hosting providers where possible (who have net zero carbon commitments), as well as being focused on minimising cloud resources utilisation such as “turning off” environments that are not needed outside of business hours.
Investing in solar panel or wind energy renewable energy schemes.
